1: I believe that Joseph Campbell was a widower when he married Agnes Mary Jordan, as the two eldest children listed with them in the 1940 Census were born before they married and there is quite a gap in the ages between the elder two children and the younger two boys.
2: After the death of her second husband, Agnes moved to Glendale, California.
3: Most of what I know about this family comes from what my late cousin Elsie (Swarbrick) Banks told me, and from the cards, letters, and photographs they sent to her over the years.
