THE FAMILY OF FREDERICK BLINKHORN
| Frederick's parents, Edward Blinkhorn and Elizabeth Baker, were married at St. Mary's Church (C. of E.) in Preston. They had several children, with Frederick being one of their younger ones. |
| Frederick was baptized at the same church on 13 September 1893 by J. Sydney Fowler. His parents lived at 103 London Road and his father was described as a card cutter. |
| Their son Albert Earnest Blinkhorn (born c. 1884), a gunner in the New Zealand Field Artillery, was killed on 9 July 1916 at the age of 32 years. He is buried in Bonjean Military Cemetery in Armentieres, France: |
