1: Ellen Gregson was illegitimate and apparently named her father in the marriage register. There was a James Rawcliffe working as a farm labourer in Eccleston near Croston in 1881 that may be the father of Ellen but this is impossible to verify.
2: Elizabeth Norris was born in January 1907 but the exact date is illegible in the baptism register.
