NOTES:
1: Ellen Norris died almost exactly one month after the birth of her ninth child and her death may have been due to complications of childbirth.
2: 7 years and 4 days after his wife's death, John remarried. This would not have been unusual except that he married the twice widowed wife of his cousin.
