1: George Spencer and Helena Swarbrick stood as Godparents to Helena Josephine, the youngest child of Helena's sister Henrietta Magdalena Shepherd, in 1896.
2: George and Helena were probably married at St Mary's RC Church in Lea but I have not yet seen the marriage registers, which are still held at the church.
