The following children buried in the churchyard of St. Helen's Parish Church, Churchtown, Garstang, may be the children of John and Alice Morton.

5:	NAME: Richard Morton, son of John Morton	ABODE: Claughton
	BURIED: 5 March 1752	AGE: (not recorded)

6:	NAME: Ellen Morton, daughter of John Morton	ABODE: Claughton
	BURIED: 16 December 1755	AGE: (not recorded)

I know of no other John Morton who was living in Claughton at the time. Unfortunately the Burial records do not give enough information to make a positive identification.
