1: The original marriage register is a small notebook which only recorded the brief details shown above, and did not record the names of the witnesses.
2: Sarah Ann Sumner was "Received into the Church" on 17 October 1827, the same day as her sister Abigail. Abigail's baptism register entry includes a note that she was born on 23 September (1827), but Sarah Ann may have been a couple of years old at that time. They were not twins.
