LANCASHIRE CEMETERY INDEX

Perhaps not surprisingly, there are no Lancashire place-names listed in The Victoria County History of Lancashire beginning with the letters X or Z. There are several places listed beginning with the letter Y, the more significant being:

YARLSIDE, a village on the outskirts of Dalton-in-Furness. The nearest municipal cemeteries are Dalton Cemetery, about 2 miles north, and Barrow Cemetery, about 3 miles southwest.

YATE BANK (also known as Yate & Pickup Bank), a farming community, in the neighbourhood of Waterside, northeast of Darwen. The nearest municipal cemeteries would be those at Darwen, about 2 miles southwest.

YEALAND CONVERS & YEALAND REDMAYNE, neighbouring communities along the A6 north of Carnforth. The nearest municipal cemetery is Carnforth Cemetery, about 3.5 miles to the south.
